Day-by-Day Itinerary

Day 1 – 2 – Airport → Negombo

The cheerful sunlight will greet you warmly as you step off the plane. At the airport, your guide will welcome you, assist with your luggage, and transfer you to your beachfront hotel in Negombo.

The first two days of your stay are unscheduled, giving you time to unwind and enjoy a peaceful escape with your partner. Savor fresh seafood, stroll along the pristine beaches, and soak in the beauty of the Indian Ocean—it’s pure magic.

Travel time from the airport to Negombo: approximately 30 minutes

Day 3 – Negombo → Dambulla

Wake up to the gentle sound of waves on the golden sandy shore and enjoy a leisurely breakfast in bed. When you are ready, your driver will take you to Sigiriya, where you will stay near the serene Kandalama Lake.

In the late afternoon, you may visit the Dambulla Cave Temple, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, or simply relax at your hotel while taking in the breathtaking views of Kandalama Lake.

Day 4 – Dambulla → Minneriya → Dambulla

On day 4, you can enjoy homemade Sri Lankan cuisine at a local villager’s home. While the meal is being prepared, take a leisurely stroll around the village or even join your hosts in the food preparation, experiencing authentic Sri Lankan life firsthand.

Later, once the heat of the day has eased, your driver will take you to Minneriya National Park for a jeep safari. The park is home to toque macaques, sambar deer, buffalo, and crocodiles, but the real highlight is the freely roaming elephants, which you’ll see almost everywhere.

When you are ready, your driver will take you to Nilaveli, a small paradise for beach lovers. The day is unscheduled, allowing you to relax at your beachfront hotel and soak in the romantic atmosphere—perfect for celebrating the joy of welcoming a new baby.

Nilaveli offers more than just relaxation. You may enjoy swimming in the sea, take a boat ride to spot dolphins, or visit Pigeon Island for snorkeling. On your final night in Nilaveli, you will be treated to a complimentary candlelight dinner, making the evening truly unforgettable.

Day 9 – 10 – Trincomalee → Kandy

On day 9, your driver will take you to Kandy, the last kingdom of Sri Lanka. Along the way, you may stop at the vibrantly colored Matale Hindu Temple for a short break.

Your stay in Kandy is unscheduled, giving you the freedom to explore at your own pace. You may visit the sacred Temple of the Tooth, enjoy a leisurely walk through the Peradeniya Botanical Gardens, go shopping, or experience a traditional Sri Lankan dance performance—perfect for a relaxing and memorable day together.

Travel time from Nilaveli to Kandy: approximately 4 hours

Day 11 – Kandy → Colombo

Enjoy a leisurely morning at your lovely hotel in Kandy. When you’re ready, your driver will take you to Colombo, where you’ll spend the final night of your babymoon in Sri Lanka.

On the way, you may stop at a tea factory to see the fascinating process behind Sri Lanka’s famous Ceylon Tea. Once in Colombo, you can relax at your hotel or explore the vibrant capital city. Highlights include Independence Square, the Old Parliament Building, Gangaramaya Temple, and Galle Face Green—perfect spots to soak in the city’s energy and charm.

Day 12 – Colombo → Airport

It’s time to say farewell to Sri Lanka. If time allows, you may spend a final morning relaxing at your hotel or exploring a bit of Colombo. Your driver will then take you to the airport for your return flight, assist with your luggage, and bid you goodbye.
